Instructor: Charles Busch

Tony-nominated playwright Charles Busch (The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife, Die Mommie Die, Psycho Beach Party) will guide students, both beginning and advanced, through the process of constructing a play from conception to outline or first and final draft. The structure of a comic line can be as precise as a bar of classical music, and you will have the benefit of working with an instructor possessing over forty years of experience in the field of comic playwrighting. Having performed in many of his own plays, students with the desire to act in their work will have the rare opportunity to work with a legendary actor/playwright. Students have the choice of working on one act or full length plays already in progress or enjoy assignments geared to the creation of new work, both comic and dramatic.
