ITALIAN LANGUAGE, AND CULINARY ARTS |
Events/Trips

EVENTS:
At the end of each session we have a gala reception. There is an open studio and all the artists exhibit their work. The writing teachers and participants read excerpts from the writing they have done at the workshop. Special guests attend the farewell dinner. This year, each session has a play workshop, and we anticipate a performance also.

During the workshop, we will plan special
events and participate in ones held in Assisi.
This may include local festivals, exhibits,
concerts, and talks about Italian culture,
language, and local history.

Supplemental trips in Italy are usually informal day
trips. Florence, Spoleto, Monterchi, San Sepulchro,
Arezzo, Gubbio, and Spello are nearby and
can be reached by van or public transportation during
the two-day break. The hotel staff is very helpful
in making arrangements.
